What this role involves

WHO IS RATEHUB?

We’re a company on a mission. We are a unique Canadian Fintech that is the one-stop shop for all financial needs of the consumer: Save, Spend, Borrow, Invest, and Protect. Every single team member — from Product & Engineering to Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, and everything in between — is obsessed with one thing: helping Canadians make better financial choices. And we’re pretty great at it, too. Via our digital application technology and our award-winning in-house brokerages, we help over 2M Canadians per month make a positive impact on their finances. We have many unique businesses: a mortgage brokerage, a life insurance brokerage, a home and auto insurance brokerage, a mortgage originations and servicing business, a Financial Services Marketplace, and a content business across Ratehub and MoneySense. 365 days a year, we deliver our users the best online mortgage experience, personalized credit card and loan options, and cheaper auto and home insurance policies than they typically get from their existing financial adviser.

Changing how people make financial choices isn’t easy, though. We know that achieving our mission is full of challenges — challenges that can be complex and often unexpected but that are always interesting, rewarding, and fun to solve as a team. This is where you come in. We are on the hunt for the right candidate to join us and help lead us forward to continued growth.

About the role

We’re looking for a Content Strategist to help grow and reach more Canadians through high-quality, data-driven sponsored content.

This is a mid-level individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Organic Growth Manager. You’ll work closely with the Senior Director of Everyday Banking and Partnerships, the Partnerships Team, our partners, the Content Team, and other cross-functional stakeholders. The role sits at the intersection of content strategy, SEO, GEO, analytics, content creation, and distribution. You’ll use performance data, search trends, audience insights, and emerging AI search data to identify opportunities, make recommendations, and execute content initiatives that drive organic growth.

As the Content Strategist dedicated to sponsored content, you’ll work with the Partnerships Team and our partners to come up with content ideas and handle writing, distributing, and optimizing content across personal finance topics, including credit cards, banking, credit monitoring, and investing. You don’t need to be an expert in every product area when you join, but you’ll be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of our partners’ products and the Canadian personal finance space over time, so you can create content that’s accurate, relevant, and useful to consumers while meeting partner goals. You’ll also support firmwide SEO and GEO initiatives.

Your goal is simple: use content, search, data, and distribution to bring more qualified traffic to Ratehub.ca and deliver strong results for our partners. You’ll work across blogs, landing pages, sponsored emails, social content, short-form video, forums, and emerging search channels, with a focus on measurable organic growth.

What you’ll do

Develop a data-driven content and SEO/GEO strategy

  • Develop a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and use SEO and AI Search Analytics platforms to monitor how Ratehub’s sponsored content is appearing in traditional rankings and AI-generated answers.
  • Use analytics, search data, audience insights, and content performance across both traditional and AI-powered search to identify opportunities.
  • Analyze organic traffic, rankings, on-page engagement, conversions, and AI-search visibility (mentions and citations across LLMs and generative search platforms) to understand what’s working and where there are opportunities to improve.
  • Identify content gaps, high-value topics, and emerging search trends, including which topics, sources, and formats are being surfaced by AI search engines.
  • Work with the Senior Organic Growth Manager and other stakeholders to turn analysis and recommendations into actionable content initiatives and help inform the broader SEO and GEO strategy.
  • Support firmwide SEO and GEO initiatives alongside the Senior Organic Growth Manager.
  • Stay up to date on changes in search, AI discovery, GEO best practices, and emerging search behaviours.

Create and optimize content

  • Work with the Partnerships Team and our partners to come up with sponsored content ideas that meet partner goals and are genuinely useful to consumers.
  • Develop and maintain a sponsored content calendar
  • Write and produce unique, useful, and engaging content across multiple formats, including blog posts, sponsored emails, social content, forum posts, and short-form video scripts.
  • Use content analysis, search data, and performance insights to create copy that addresses what consumers are actually searching for and helps them make informed financial decisions.
  • Develop an understanding of our partners’ products and the broader Canadian personal finance landscape, and manage partner review and approval rounds to make sure content is accurate and approved before it’s published.
  • Translate partner product information, key messaging, and expert input into clear, accessible, consumer-friendly content that’s educational rather than salesy, bringing your own perspective on structure, messaging, search intent, format, and audience engagement.
  • Refresh and rewrite existing sponsored content and landing pages to keep them accurate, relevant, competitive, and aligned with SEO and GEO best practices, using performance data to guide improvements.
  • Use AI tools to assist with research, ideation, analysis, and content generation, and test and implement emerging AI content practices, while maintaining strong editorial standards, originality, accuracy, and Ratehub’s brand voice.

Manage sponsored content distribution and reporting

  • Write and build dedicated sponsored content emails, working with the Partnerships Team and partners to incorporate their messaging and goals.
  • Support organic growth for sponsored content across Google Search, AI search, Reddit and other forums, social media, email, and short-form video, and develop recommendations for how content can be distributed to bring more qualified traffic to Ratehub.ca.
  • Develop channel-specific distribution recommendations for sponsored content based on audience behaviour, search performance, AI citation patterns, and partner objectives, prioritizing the platforms and formats most likely to improve discoverability, engagement, and qualified traffic.
  • Create and support timely social content across platforms, including Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and participate in community engagement where appropriate, to support sponsored campaigns, organic content, and PR initiatives.
  • Run paid social campaigns for sponsored content, including Meta ads and boosted Instagram posts for the purpose of driving traffic.
  • Track sponsored content performance and prepare performance reports for partners as requested.
  • Establish and monitor relevant performance indicators for sponsored content, including AI mentions and citations, share of voice, organic and referral traffic, engagement, and other agreed-upon partner objectives. Prepare performance reports for partners.
  • Use performance insights to evaluate results and recommend improvements to future campaigns.

Publish and manage website content

  • Edit, format, and publish content using WordPress, ensuring pages are accurate, optimized, and ready for publication.
  • Work closely with the Editorial Team to ensure content meets Ratehub’s editorial and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the prioritization and implementation of relevant CMS components, website functionality, and content updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the content experience, and ensure users can easily find and engage with the information they need.

You’ll help own the high-volume brand content pipeline that surrounds Scout’s flagship storytelling, adding depth and character to the company’s story by capturing the people, vehicles, events, moments, and stories inside Scout Motors as the company continues to build.

One week you may be shooting a walkthrough at the Scout Motors Production Center in Blythewood, SC, the next, producing an experiential event recap, filming a product walkaround, supporting a CRM story, or off-roading in the desert, producing product development and adventure stories.

This role will be deeply embedded in the ongoing development of the Scout Motors company, brand, and vehicles, and is poised to own the content work that is quick, nimble, culturally aware, and often the most frequent interaction our audience will have with the Scout brand on our content channels.

You’ll collaborate with the broader Scout Studios team while working directly with the Head of Scout Studios to develop a content and storytelling pipeline and creative identity of your own.

Why Scout Studios

Scout Motors and the Scout brand have a rare and special opportunity: we’re building the company, the vehicles, the community, and the stories surrounding them from the ground up, at the same time.

Scout Studios has a front-row, all-access seat.

You’ll help make sure the journey is told, from the large moments to the small stories in-between, that keep the momentum moving.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Be a talented and visionary flex content creator.
  • Shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video content across Scout’s digital ecosystem.
  • Own projects from pitch and brief through capture, edit, finishing, and delivery.
  • Drive short-form content across Scout’s online channels, with the goal of deepening our storytelling and entertainment content on our YouTube channel and other emerging platforms.
  • Support CRM, corporate communications, internal communications, experience, and other cross-functional storytelling, while upholding Scout Studios’ creative and visual standards.
  • Work with the Scout Studios team to capture interviews, product demonstrations, events, behind-the-scenes moments, employee stories, community stories, and lifestyle content.
  • Lead creative approaches that elevate everyday content requests beyond traditional corporate video.
  • Work comfortably as a solo creator when appropriate, operating cameras, lights, audio, directing, and editing.
  • Scale up and collaborate with the larger Scout Studios crew for more ambitious productions.
  • Work with the Head of Scout Studios to establish templates and repeatable production approaches for recurring content needs.
  • Experiment with new formats, tools, technologies, and storytelling techniques.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • This role will be embedded in the ongoing development of the Scout Motors company, brand, and vehicles. As such, travel will be a meaningful and necessary part of this role, with expected travel ranging from 40-50%.
  • Scout vehicles are being developed for rugged adventure, worksite use, daily-living, and everything in-between, and candidates for this role should expect that travel will take them to a variety of climates and environments, including harsher cold-weather, hot-weather, mountainous, and remote locations.
  • Candidates should be comfortable operating in remote and harsher conditions when necessary, and physically capable of carrying and operating equipment, from camera systems to lights and audio equipment as needed.
  • Candidates for this position should carry an active drivers’ license, and be comfortable driving on urban, highway, and country roads, gravel roads, and some light off-road trails when needed.

What you’ll bring

We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. You’ll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here’s what else you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience creating video and digital content.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong shooting, editing, and storytelling ability.
  • A strong understanding of camera fundamentals including composition, exposure, movement, lenses, and lighting, and the ability to distinguish the right camera system for the right job.

  • Understanding of modern social platforms and how storytelling changes between formats.
  • Strong editorial instincts, pacing, music selection, and sound-design fundamentals.
  • Ability to operate effectively as both a solo creator and part of a larger production crew.
  • Strong organizational and file-management habits.
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining visual and brand standards.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and production techniques, and drive innovation.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Preferred

  • Automotive or outdoor/lifestyle production experience.
  • Photography experience.
  • Drone certification and aerial-production experience.
  • Motion graphics or After Effects experience.
  • Color-grading experience.
  • Experience producing social-first and vertical content.
  • Experience with live events and fast-turn editorial.
  • Experience working directly with executives, engineers, designers, craftspeople, or other nonprofessional on-camera talent.
  • A strong passion for automotive culture, design, adventure, music, travel, or the outdoors.

Who You Are

You’re a maker and a visionary.

When something interesting happens, your instinct is to figure out how to capture it and tell a story around it. You can see the story in a production center worker, an off-road adventure, an engineering prototype, a community gathering, or a thirty-second moment that most people might glance over.

You have a passion for driving the creative process from start to finish, diving deeper into stories, and enjoy operating both as a nimble solo-creator and part of a larger production crew.

You’re curious, self-directed, collaborative, passionate about creating content, and eager to grow. You want ownership rather than simply receiving assignments.

Content Freelance Writer/Stock Analyst at The Motley Fool

Freelance writer produces 20+ financial and stock analysis articles monthly covering sectors like tech, healthcare, and energy for a major finance publication.

Mid Remote Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

The Motley Fool is looking for a highly skilled freelance writer with subject matter expertise in stock analysis. Our writers contribute 20 articles per month at a minimum (but often much more than that), and help demystify the world of finance by covering market insights and stock news across industries including tech, artificial intelligence, consumer goods, financials, energy & industrials, healthcare, and more. If you have particular expertise in a certain stock sector (or sectors), please let us know. Candidates without strong professional writing experience will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is flexible and 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the United States for consideration.

NOTE: We’re always keeping our eyes open for strong writers to join our Foolish Fold. As this is an ongoing job posting, please be patient with our response times.

Who Are We? We are The Motley Fool, a purpose-driven financial information and services firm with more than 30 years of experience focused on making the world smarter, happier, and richer. But what does that even mean?! It means we’re helping Fools (always with a capital “F”) demystify the world of finance, beat the stock market, and achieve personal wealth and happiness through our products and services.

Since our founding, we’ve cut through the noise and jargon to help people understand the financial world in general and their own finances in particular.

Today, we do it at a fairly large scale (50 million page views/month). And we’d like your help as we continue to grow!

The Motley Fool is firmly committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. We are a motley group of overachievers that have built a culture of trust founded on Foolishness, fun, and a commitment to making the world smarter, happier and richer.  However you identify or whatever winding road has led you to us, please don’t hesitate to apply if the description leaves you thinking, “Hey! I could do that!”

What Does This Team Do?

The Motley Fool’s Fool.com editorial team works to publish the BEST content to our award-winning site. They’re a motley crew who are highly motivated, innovative, versatile, and comfortable driving content and editorial strategy from conception through execution in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. And while their gut instinct can take them so far, they know very well the power of data and harness it with every critical choice they make.

What Would You Do in This Role?

With support from our editors, you’ll have the opportunity to share your thoughtful stock analysis! We cover companies in all sectors, from Apple to offshore drillers to Gilead Sciences to regional banks. We want writers who can publish at least 20 articles per month. Our most successful writers publish many more than this.

In a turbulent industry, our track record of financial stability stands out. Our writers tend to stay with us for years – many have been here a decade or two!

But What Would You Actually Do in this role?

  • Collaborate with editors to produce insightful stock analysis (our articles usually range from 600-800 words).
  • Cover companies across various sectors (including tech, electric vehicles, offshore drillers, healthcare, and regional banks).
  • Write and publish a minimum of 20 articles per month.
  • Use the article-level data your editors provide to pursue the most profitable article topics and angles.
  • Use proven SEO strategies to boost article performance.
  • Leverage AI tools as directed by the Editorial Team.
  • File your articles in a content management system.

Required Experience:

  • You share our driving passion for teaching the world about the stock market.
  • You’re a skilled writer AND analyst, and you’re ready to send us samples of your work.
  • You have a strong understanding of The Motley Fool’s investment philosophy.
  • You have experience writing about financial topics and have written for another financial publication in the past.
  • You have the ability to write in our Foolish tone! We’re informative but never patronizing. Our goal is to demystify the world of finance in a fun and thoughtful way.
  • You are excited to learn more about AI, its impact on businesses we analyze, and how it can strengthen our editorial work.
  • You are awesome (but you already knew that)!

NOTE ON COMPENSATION: This position is paid per article. Pay range will vary between $50 and $150 per article depending on length and complexity, plus performance incentive pay when applicable. Higher paid articles are in the 600-800 word count range.

Pay Range Per Project

$50—$150 USD

Content Staff Technical Writer | Remote | Spain at Grafana Labs

Creates technical documentation and learning content for Grafana observability products in collaboration with engineers, product managers, and writers.

Lead Remote Posted 2 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, the fully managed observability platform trusted by more than 10,000 organizations to ensure reliability, resolve incidents faster, and optimize telemetry at scale. Built on open source and open standards and designed for interoperability across any stack, Grafana Cloud brings AI to observability and observability to AI, giving teams (and their agents) unified visibility so they can see, understand, and act on all their disparate data, wherever it lives, and move at the speed of their ambitions. Customers, including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce, rely on Grafana Labs. We are a 100% remote company with team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, GIC, Coatue, J.P. Morgan, CapitalG, and Lead Edge Capital. Learn more at grafana.com and follow us on LinkedIn and X.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.

About Grafana Labs:

There are more than 700,000 active installations of Grafana around the globe, monitoring everything from beehives to climate change in the Alps. The instantly recognizable dashboards have been spotted everywhere from a SpaceX launch and Minecraft HQ to Wimbledon and the Tour de France. Grafana Labs also helps companies including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay manage their observability strategies with full-stack offerings that can be run fully managed with Grafana Cloud, or self-managed with Grafana Enterprise Stack. The Grafana stack has grown to include more open-source projects, including Grafana Loki (for logs) and Grafana Tempo (for traces) and Grafana Mimir (for metrics).

Description of Duties

We’re looking for a Staff Technical Writer to create documentation and learning content that helps people adopt and master Grafana’s observability products. You’ll work with engineers, product managers, and the Grafana writing team to produce content for a range of products and audiences, from first-time users to experienced practitioners. Because our products and priorities evolve, we’re looking for someone who learns new technical domains quickly.

AI is part of how this team works. We use AI-assisted workflows and tools throughout the content lifecycle, from research and drafting to review, validation, and maintenance. You’ll use these tools every day and help the team get better at using them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, research, write, and maintain documentation and learning content (concepts, tasks, tutorials, references, and in-product learning) that supports adoption and long-term product mastery.
  • Use AI tools and workflows to work faster and at a higher quality: drafting, structuring, technical validation, consistency checks, and keeping content current. You apply human judgment to everything AI produces and take responsibility for its accuracy.
  • Contribute to the team’s shared AI workflows and skills, and look for ways to improve and automate how we create and maintain content as tools and models evolve.
  • Partner with engineers, PMs, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, interview subject matter experts, and turn complex technical detail into clear, accurate content.
  • Test what you document. Run the software, follow your own procedures, and flag product and UX gaps you find along the way.
  • Let data guide your priorities. We have strong docs and learning analytics. You’ll use them, along with user feedback, to find content gaps, prioritize your work, and show the impact of what you ship.
  • Work with the documentation manager and other writers to improve information architecture, voice, and consistency across our docs, and to make information easy to find for both people and AI-driven search and assistants.
  • Manage several projects at once, using judgment to prioritize and communicate clearly when the plan changes.
  • Mentor teammates and share practices that raise the quality of the team’s work.

Requirements

What experience would make someone be successful in this role?

  • Experience writing or documenting enterprise or developer-facing software, with a portfolio or writing samples that show technical depth.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and models in your writing workflow (such as LLM assistants, agentic coding tools, or custom prompts and skills), and the ability to explain how you evaluate and verify their output.
  • Experience working with docs-as-code: command-line Git, GitHub (pull requests and reviews), Markdown, and common IDEs.
  • Comfort working in technical environments. You can set up, run, and troubleshoot software yourself to verify what you write (for example, command line, containers, or Kubernetes, or a willingness to learn quickly).
  • Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers to get accurate technical information.
  • Experience working remotely and asynchronously on a distributed team.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Curiosity about AI as a craft. You treat AI workflows as a professional skill. You experiment, share what works, and know where AI helps and where it doesn’t.
  • Technical credibility. You care about accuracy, you learn new technical domains quickly, and you ask questions until you understand them.
  • Strong judgment and editing skills. You can tell good content from plausible-sounding content, and you hold the line on quality.
  • Ownership. You manage multiple projects and work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Clarity. You write concisely and plainly for readers of all experience levels.
  • Bonus: Experience with observability, monitoring, or cloud-native tooling, or contributing to open source documentation.
