HR Senior Benefits Manager at LaunchDarkly

Owns global employee benefits strategy, renewals, vendor management, compliance, systems, budgeting, and employee benefits support.

Senior Posted 2 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About the Job:

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Benefits Manager to design, run, and continuously improve the health, wellness, and financial benefits programs that support our growing, distributed workforce. You will be the senior subject matter expert on benefits within People Operations, owning the strategy and delivery of our programs end to end, managing carrier and vendor relationships, and ensuring our offerings are competitive, compliant, and cost-effective.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You will work independently on complex, ambiguous problems, influence decisions across People, Finance, Legal, and IT, and serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders. You will not have direct reports, but you will guide and coach teammates and external partners through your expertise.

We are looking for someone who pairs deep technical benefits knowledge with sound business judgment, a bias for operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to the employee experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the benefits strategy and roadmap, covering medical, dental, vision, life and disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), leave of absence, mental health and wellness, and global/international offerings, and recommend changes backed by data and market benchmarking.
  • Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment cycle: plan design analysis, funding and cost modeling, carrier negotiation, communications, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
  • Manage broker, carrier, PEO/EOR, and third-party administrator relationships, holding vendors accountable to service levels, pricing, and employee experience standards.
  • Partner with Finance to forecast, budget, and report on benefits spend, and identify cost containment and plan optimization opportunities without compromising employee value.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state and local leave laws, and non-discrimination testing; own required filings, notices, and audits, partnering with Legal and outside counsel as needed.
  • Administer and optimize benefits technology (HRIS, benefits administration platform, and carrier feeds), including integrations, data accuracy, and reconciliation of invoices and eligibility.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex employee benefits, leave, and accommodation cases, and coach People Operations teammates on resolution.
  • Design and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and education that help employees make informed choices.
  • Evaluate benefits for new geographies and acquisitions, and support the integration of new employee populations.
  • Build scalable processes, documentation, and metrics (participation, cost per employee, utilization, satisfaction) and report insights to People leadership.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging benefits solutions, and proactively bring recommendations to the team.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive benefits experience, including significant ownership of renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management in a high-growth technology or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and state/local requirements) and of health plan funding models, including fully insured and self-funded arrangements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze plan data, build cost models, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems (for example, Workday, Rippling, or similar) and with managing carrier and eligibility integrations.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of improving cost, service, or employee outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex topics simply to employees and executives alike.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • High standards for accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment with sensitive employee information.
  • Comfortable working with a highly distributed team across time zones.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting benefits for a multi-country workforce or through M&A integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR.
  • Experience with equity and broader total rewards programs.

Pay:

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 4:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle - $136,000 - $187,000*
  • Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago - $122,000 - $168,000**

LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

HR HR Workday Transformation Consultant at Harbor.ai

Advises clients on HR transformation, Workday selection and implementation oversight while leading engagements, stakeholder discussions and HR team training.

Senior Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Harbor is seeking a HR Workday Transformation Consultant to advise US clients on HR transformation and Workday, helping them plan, select and deliver change that lasts. Our HR and Payroll Transformation practice is growing quickly in the US, and this role is central to that growth. We advise organizations on how to modernize their HR and payroll functions, from the early business case through to system selection, implementation oversight and post go live support. Much of our work is with professional services firms, particularly large law firms, where we have built a strong reputation for independent, practical advice on Workday.

Our US client base has grown rapidly over the past two years. We now need an experienced consultant on the ground who can lead client conversations, shape engagements and help us win new work.  This is a remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the US, with preference given to those candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone near a major metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

The role splits broadly into five areas, with the balance shifting depending on the client work in hand.

HR Transformation Advisory

  • Lead discovery and current state reviews of HR, payroll and people processes, and set out clear, costed options for change.
  • Build business cases for HR technology investment, including benefits, costs, risks and timelines.
  • Design target operating models for HR and HRIS teams, covering roles, governance, service delivery and support.
  • Advise senior stakeholders, including CHROs, COOs and CFOs, on transformation strategy and priorities.

Workday Advisory and System Selection

  • Run HCM system selection exercises, including Workday against Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors and other platforms.
  • Manage systems integrator (SI) procurement: write RFPs, set scoring criteria, run supplier demonstrations and lead evaluation.
  • Review SI proposals, statements of work and commercial terms, and help clients negotiate a fair deal.
  • Act as the client’s independent adviser during implementation, providing quality assurance, design review and challenge to the SI.

Delivery

  • Plan and manage engagements to time, budget and quality, with clear reporting to clients and internal leadership.
  • Support workstreams such as testing, data migration, change management, training and job architecture.
  • Produce high quality client deliverables, including reports, presentations, evaluation packs and operating model designs.

Workday Training for HR Teams

  • Assess training needs across HR, payroll and people operations teams, and design a training plan that fits each role.
  • Deliver Workday training to HR teams, both in person and online, covering core HCM processes, reporting and day to day administration.
  • Create clear training materials, including user guides, quick reference cards, exercises and recorded walkthroughs.
  • Prepare HR teams to support themselves after go live, including train the trainer sessions and handover to internal Workday support teams.
  • Provide refresher and update training as Workday releases new features twice a year.

Business Development and Practice Growth

  • Build and maintain relationships with HR, finance and operations leaders across the US market.
  • Identify new opportunities within existing clients and help shape proposals and pricing.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, events and the development of our methods and tools.
  • Coach and support more junior consultants.

Skills and Experience:

The right person will have at least eight years in HR transformation, with a strong track record on Workday programs.

Essential

  • At least eight years’ experience in HR transformation, HR technology or HR operations, ideally with some of that time in consulting.
  • Hands on involvement in at least two full Workday HCM implementations, either as a client lead, program manager or advisory partner.
  • Sound knowledge of Workday HCM and how it fits with payroll, finance and other connected systems.
  • Experience of running or supporting HCM system selection and SI procurement.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering Workday training to HR teams, with the confidence to run sessions for groups at all levels.
  • Good understanding of US HR and payroll practice, including multi state payroll and benefits administration.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and presenting to leadership teams.
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-structured client reports.

Desirable

  • Experience in professional services firms, especially law firms, and an understanding of how partner and fee earner roles differ from standard employee models.
  • Workday certification in HCM, Payroll, Compensation or Recruiting.
  • Knowledge of Workday Payroll or third-party payroll providers such as ADP.
  • Experience of global or cross border programs, including work with UK or European teams.
  • A background in business development within a consulting firm.

Other Qualities

We want someone clients trust to tell them the truth, and colleagues enjoy working with.

  • Independent and confident enough to challenge suppliers and clients when needed.
  • Practical and focused on outcomes rather than theory.
  • Comfortable working on your own in a growing market, while staying closely connected to a team across the US and UK.
  • Curious, organized and able to manage several engagements at once.
  • Commercially aware, with a genuine interest in helping the practice grow.

About Us:

We’re regulated as an investment dealer across all Canadian provinces and territories, and backed by renowned venture capitalists with a funding of $44M. We have a passionate, loyal, and growing community, and we’re looking for people who want to help us build something truly special.

Senior People Operations Partner

We’re looking for a Senior People Operations Partner to help raise the bar for how People work gets done.

This is an opportunity to join a People function with a strong foundation and help shape what comes next. You’ll bring fresh thinking to the systems, processes, and programs that support employees and managers, helping make them more thoughtful, consistent, and scalable as Shakepay grows.

You’ll work across the employee lifecycle, contribute to key People programs, and partner with managers and cross-functional teams on People-related decisions. What you’ll be doing

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of core People processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, leave, benefits, employee data, documentation, and People systems.
  • Design, document, and improve reliable workflows, handoffs, and resources that make People processes easier to navigate and maintain.
  • Support the operational delivery of key People programs, including performance and compensation cycles, and help improve how those programs work over time.
  • Bring forward clear recommendations, options, tradeoffs, and next steps when the path forward is not obvious.
  • Use data, employee feedback, and day-to-day experience to identify risks, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, simplification and automation.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, Talent, and external vendors on People-related work.
  • Help strengthen continuity across the function by creating clear documentation, repeatable processes, and effective backup coverage.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR business partnering, HR generalist work, or a related People role.
  • Experience working independently across multiple People workstreams in a fast-paced, changing, or lean environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting the employee lifecycle and working with People systems, employee data, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Experience contributing to performance management, compensation, onboarding, offboarding, policy work, manager enablement or other company-wide People programs.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment practices and good judgment about when to involve Legal or external advisors.
  • A track record of improving processes, creating clearer ways of working, and turning recurring problems into better systems.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and follow-through, including when handling sensitive employee matters.
  • The ability to prioritize competing needs, make practical tradeoffs, and move work forward without close supervision.

Bonus points

  • Experience working with modern HRIS, People, workflow, or automation tools.
  • Experience using automation or emerging tools to reduce recurring work while protecting confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Experience with compensation structures, benchmarking, leveling, or career frameworks.
  • Experience supporting benefits renewals or vendor relationships.
  • Experience working at a technology company, fintech, startup, or scaleup.
  • Experience supporting employees across Canada.
  • French fluency or working proficiency.

Why join?

  • Help shape the next stage of a People function with meaningful room to improve how the work gets done.
  • Bring your experience and judgment to work that directly affects employees, managers, and the business.
  • Own meaningful work in a hands-on role where you can see the impact of your contribution.
  • Work closely with leaders across the company as Shakepay continues to grow.
  • Join a small, collaborative team helping shape the future of financial services and Bitcoin in Canada.

Why Shakepay?

  • Help shape the future of money: Be part of a team that’s revolutionizing financial services in Canada, one sat at a time.
  • Impact millions: As cryptocurrency continues to gain traction, our potential for growth is massive. You can help us bring Shakepay and Bitcoin to all Canadians.
  • Grow your career: We’re growing, and so can you! We have programs in place to encourage continuous learning, growth, and development.
  • Ideas, not titles: We want the best ideas to make their way through, no matter where they come from.

Perks and benefits

  • 🤝 Be an owner - Every employee has stock options as part of their total compensation.
  • 🥅 Reach your goals - Yearly salary assessments.
  • 🦷 Health & wellness : Access to health and dental coverage, including health and wellness spending accounts.
  • 🌎 Remote-friendly: Work from anywhere in Canada, with optional access to our office spaces in Montreal and Toronto.
  • 🆙 Level Up: A $2,000 annual budget for courses, certifications, and training to support your career growth.
  • 🌴 Time off: 20 days of vacation per year. And if you use all your vacation, we give you a $1,000 bonus.
  • 🐣 Parental leave: Enjoy a parental leave top up to 100% of your salary for 18 weeks.
  • 🙌 Have fun together: quarterly team-specific or company-wide offsite to connect with each other.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $175,000 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for equity,  pay increases based on performance, benefits including health and dental care, and paid time off.

We understand that potential can be just as valuable as experience. If you’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the mission but worry that you may not have the “right” experience, we still want you to apply. We encourage applications from everyone, regardless of background and life experience. We’re firm believers that a little bit of slope makes up for a lot of y-intercept.

We use technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support certain parts of our hiring process. This can include tools that assist with scheduling, application review, candidate communications, and generating interview notes, guides, or summaries so our team can stay focused on the conversation. All hiring decisions are made by our hiring team.

Fluency in English is required due to the percentage of English-speaking customers and the nature of our platform, which is available to all Canadians.

Our ecosystem spans the full employee and talent lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, organizational structure, compensation, performance, compliance, reporting, and analytics.

You will translate People and business needs into clear requirements, lead multi-quarter systems and process initiatives, configure and improve platforms and workflows, and manage our People technology vendors.

This is an individual contributor role today. You will lead through deep expertise, sound judgment, clear operating mechanisms, and influence rather than direct management authority. As the function evolves, the role may grow to include people management.

What You’ll Do:

  • People Systems Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with People leadership and IT to shape a multi-quarter People Systems roadmap, recommend priorities and tradeoffs, and own delivery of agreed-upon initiatives.

  • Technology Vendor Management: Lead the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of People technology vendors, ensuring our platforms deliver measurable value and work together effectively.
  • Data, Reporting & AI: Improve People data governance, reporting, and analytics while identifying practical AI and automation opportunities that make work simpler and support better decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner across People, IT, Data, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams on cross-functional initiatives. Align stakeholders, drive decisions without direct authority, and measure the impact of systems investments.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in People Systems, People Operations, HR technology, business systems, or a related field.
  • Experience shaping and delivering multi-quarter technology or process roadmaps across multiple platforms and business areas.
  • Strong business analysis and process design skills, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, implementation, and change management.
  • Experience evaluating and managing technology vendors and partnering with IT, data, security, and integration teams.
  • Strong understanding of People data, reporting, governance, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Thrives in fast paced environments, turning complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions while working effectively across a global organization.
  • Experience mentoring or raising the capabilities of others. Prior direct people management experience is helpful but not required.

The listed Pay Range reflects the total cash compensation inclusive of annual base salary and annual bonus as applicable. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonus target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Apollo and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity; company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; at least 10 paid holidays per year, flex PTO, and parental leave; employee assistance program and wellbeing benefits; global travel coverage; life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance; FSA/HSA and medical, dental, and vision benefits.

EvenUp is a market-leading AI startup transforming personal injury law. As a Senior Technical Talent Partner, you’ll lead our most complex Engineering and ML searches, advising hiring managers and executives as a strategic partner rather than an order-taker.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working at least 3 days a week from our San Francisco or Toronto offices..

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for complex, senior, or hard-to-fill roles across Engineering and ML, often spanning multiple teams.

  • Advise hiring managers and execs on role design, hiring strategy, and assessment/offer process, anticipating issues before they’re raised.

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on sourcing strategy, compensation, and assessments, using data to consult, not just report.

  • Own senior stakeholder relationships, influencing hiring decisions and calibration as the primary link between Talent and the business.

  • Set the pace on your searches, and re-engineer your approach the moment a search stalls, rather than escalating and waiting.

  • Hold the bar under pressure on the hardest, most ambiguous searches, keeping stakeholders steady through change.

  • Own search outcomes end to end, modeling excellence in data hygiene, write-ups, and process for the team.

  • Stay ahead of market and tooling trends, piloting new approaches and sharing what works with the team.

  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience and EvenUp’s values in every search you run.

What We’re Looking For

  • Track record independently leading senior, complex, or niche technical searches, ideally at a fast-paced startup.

  • Strong data fluency, using metrics and benchmarks to diagnose issues and guide your own prioritization.

  • Proven ability to advise technical leaders as a consultant, reframing hiring asks and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • High agency under ambiguity, with a record of unblocking stalled searches without waiting for direction.

  • Resilience through pressure, sustaining quality and momentum through freezes, reorgs, or the hardest searches.

  • Deep ownership of craft, producing clean, reliable recruiting deliverables others depend on.

  • A growth mindset, actively evaluating new tools and approaches (e.g., Ashby, Metaview) for the team.

  • Excellent, persuasive communication that builds trust quickly with technical stakeholders and candidates.

Benefits & Perks:

As part of our total rewards package, we offer attractive benefits and perks to our employees, including:

Senior Posted 8 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Apollo.io is the leading go-to-market solution for revenue teams, trusted by over 500,000 companies and millions of users globally, from rapidly growing startups to some of the world’s largest enterprises. Founded in 2015, the company is one of the fastest growing companies in SaaS, raising approximately $250 million to date and valued at $1.6 billion. Apollo.io provides sales and marketing teams with easy access to verified contact data for over 210 million B2B contacts and 35 million companies worldwide, along with tools to engage and convert these contacts in one unified platform. By helping revenue professionals find the most accurate contact information and automating the outreach process, Apollo.io turns prospects into customers. Apollo raised a series D in 2023 and is backed by top-tier investors, including Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and more, and counts the former President and COO of Hubspot, JD Sherman, among its board members.

About The Role

The People Systems & Solutions team designs the technology workflows, processes, and data that power Apollo’s People organization. Our ecosystem spans the full employee and talent lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, organizational structure, compensation, performance, compliance, reporting, and analytics.

We believe AI will fundamentally change how People teams operate. Getting there requires trusted data, simple processes, thoughtfully designed workflows, and an integrated technology ecosystem. This role will help build and evolve that foundation.

The People Systems and Solutions Manager will partner with the Head of People Systems & Solutions, People leadership, and IT to shape and drive Apollo’s People Systems roadmap.

  • Process & Workflow Design: Translate complex business needs into simple, scalable processes, requirements, and system configurations across the employee and talent lifecycle.
