Work From Anywhere in the Philippines

Work Schedule: PST │ 10:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM, synchronous availability required

About Pearl Talent

Pearl works with the top 1% of candidates from around the world and connects them with the best startups in the US and EU. Our clients have raised over $5B in aggregate and are backed by companies like OpenAI, a16z, and Founders Fund.

Watch here: https://www.loom.com/share/863b8e426e6d48309aa8f4ea4c1c94cd

About the Client

An early-stage healthcare AI company building automation for insurance verification and prior authorization for US surgery centers and hospital systems is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist to produce structured, checked benefits data and audit the accuracy of its automated output.

Today the company relies on its customers’ verifiers, whose free-text notes are fast but inconsistent and cannot be analyzed at scale. This is the first hire on a small operations and data team, reporting directly to a founder in a lean environment with a 1–2 week onboarding.

About the Role

The Insurance Verification Specialist runs eligibility and benefits checks in US payer portals, calls payers when portal data is missing or unclear, follows prior authorization requests through to approval, and calculates estimated patient responsibility from a written formula. The role also audits the automation’s output against portal and call results, documents payer quirks, and maintains a curated set of checked cases for regression testing. Expected output is about 30 new verifications per day, or 100–200 QA checks per day depending on task mix. Success means every field recorded the same way with evidence attached, unknowns flagged instead of guessed, and mismatches reported with specific, reproducible reasons.

Core Responsibilities

Eligibility & Benefits Verification

  • Run eligibility and benefits checks in US payer portals (UnitedHealthcare, Availity, Waystar, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare / Medicare Advantage) for scheduled patients.
  • Record each field in a structured form: plan, network status, deductible and out-of-pocket (individual and family, total and met), copay, coinsurance, and prior-auth requirement.
  • Capture the portal PDF or screenshot as evidence for every verification.
  • Mark incomplete or contradictory portal data as unknown instead of guessing.

Payer Calls & Prior Authorization

  • Call payers to verify benefits when the portal is missing or unclear, and confirm whether a procedure (by CPT code) needs prior authorization.
  • Submit prior authorization requests and follow up until approved before the date of service.
  • Log the rep name, call reference number, and outcome in the structured form for every call.
  • Follow client call scripts and record calls as directed.

Patient Responsibility & Data Quality

  • Calculate estimated patient responsibility using the client’s written formula (allowable, deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket cap) and document the steps.
  • Audit automated output against portal or call results and flag each mismatch with a one-line reason: automation error, payer data issue, or ambiguous.
  • Give the engineering team specific, reproducible feedback and report patterns across cases.

Documentation & Quality Standards

  • Document payer portal and phone quirks (where a figure lives, which payers need a call, workarounds) as short how-to notes.
  • Build and maintain a curated set of checked cases across payers and plan types for regression testing.
  • Re-check older cases when payer rules change.

Must-Have

  • 2–5 years of hands-on US insurance eligibility and benefits verification and prior authorization in an ASC, hospital, or RCM/BPO setting, at volume (30+ verifications per day)
  • Daily use of US payer portals such as Availity, UnitedHealthcare, Waystar, or NaviNet
  • Outbound payer phone calls for benefits verification and prior authorization follow-up, with call reference numbers logged
  • Ability to explain deductible, coinsurance, copay, and out-of-pocket maximum, and to calculate a patient-responsibility estimate from them
  • HIPAA training and PHI handling experience
  • English at C1+ CEFR (written) and B2+ CEFR (spoken)
  • Availability for synchronous work 10:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM Pacific Time

Nice-to-Have

  • Verification experience in surgical specialties: GI, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, or ENT

  • Medicare Advantage and secondary-coverage case experience

  • Experience auditing or QA-ing automated or AI-generated output

  • SQL, data-labeling, or advanced spreadsheet experience

  • Experience working with minimal supervision, such as sole verifier, writing SOPs, or training others

  • Competitive Salary: Based on experience and skills

  • Remote Work: Fully remote—work from anywhere

  • Team Incentives: Recognition for maintaining 100% CRM hygiene and on-time reporting

  • Generous PTO: In accordance with company policy

  • Health Coverage for PH-based talents: HMO coverage after 3 months for full-time employees

  • Direct Mentorship: Guidance from international industry experts

  • Learning & Development: Ongoing access to resources for professional growth

  • Global Networking: Connect with professionals worldwide

What this role involves

About Terawatt Infrastructure

The once in a century transition to autonomous and electric vehicles is underway and will require a multi-trillion-dollar investment in energy and charging infrastructure, and the real estate to site it on. Terawatt is the leader in delivering large scale, turnkey charging solutions for companies rapidly deploying AV and EV fleets. Whether it’s an urban mobility hub, or a carefully located multi-fleet hub for semi-trucks, Terawatt brings the talent, capabilities, and capital to create reliable, cost-effective solutions for customers on the leading edge of the transition to the next generation of transport.

With a growing portfolio of sites across the US in urban hubs and along key logistics and transportation corridors. Terawatt is building the permanent transportation and logistics infrastructure of tomorrow through a robust combination of capital, real estate, development, and site operations solutions. The company develops, finances, owns, and operates charging solutions that take the cost and complexity out of electrifying fleets.

Our Values

Six core values guide how we work: commitments we make to each other. Our pace is set by a simple conviction: imperfect action beats perfect inaction, so we move with purpose, adapt without ego, and measure ourselves by progress rather than activity. Ownership travels with autonomy. Your name is on the work, and the best answer wins the conversation, wherever it lives. That candor works because of what surrounds it: people who show up with intention and have each other’s back, tough on ideas and generous with people. Our customers feel this as reliability earned daily, every interaction treated as a chance to build something lasting. And underneath it all is why the work matters. The climate doesn’t wait, and the stakes are also human: behind every checklist and every inspection is a person going home safely. We call it “This work has a heartbeat” — it’s what the other five rest on.

Role Description

The Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting the daily execution of Terawatt’s site operations, facilities management, and customer success initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of administrative excellence and field service support, ensuring that our internal systems and processes are maintained with high accuracy. You will be a key point of contact for vendor coordination and financial workflows, directly enabling the scalability of our EV charging network.  This is an ideal role for someone who is developing in their career who is highly reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to gain exposure to how an EV infrastructure provider’s operations, facilities and field service teams operate.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role works in close collaboration with site and field operations teams.

Core Responsibilities

Facilities Management & Financial Support

  • Process and manage invoice approvals, ensuring accuracy and timely routing for payment through the appropriate accounting channels.

  •  Coordinate documentation, communication, and contract administration with vendor managers for site-specific services.

Data Integrity

  • Maintain and update digital records to track new site activations and critical operational milestones.

  • Support sales and operations teams with data hygiene, workflow improvements, and custom report generation.

Field Service Support:

  • Track inventory, create and manage purchase orders from initiation through receipt and reconciliation, coordinating between site operations and accounting.

  • Administer Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes, including all necessary documentation and vendor coordination for faulty equipment.

Customer Success Support

  • Assist with onboarding new customers.

  •  Document onboarding procedures to ensure a consistent and scalable customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in an operations, administrative, or back-office support role, preferably within clean energy, facilities management, or logistics.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • High proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar).

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage records, maintain data hygiene, and run basic reports.

  • Familiarity with purchase order workflows, inventory management systems, or procurement processes.

  • Clear and professional communicator who can work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Field Operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in fast-moving ambiguous environments

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms

$85,000 - $100,000 a year

Compensation for this role is determined by several factors, including the cost of labor in specific geographic markets, and these ranges are intended to provide a helpful reference. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s location, skills, level of expertise and experience, and internal equity considerations. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, where applicable, performance-based incentives.

We are building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. At Terawatt, we continuously strive to foster inclusion, humility, energizing relationships, and belonging, and welcome new ideas. We’re growing and want you to grow with us. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

If a reasonable accommodation is required to fully participate in the job application or interview process, or to perform the essential functions of the position, please contact[email protected].

Terawatt Infrastructure is an equal-opportunity employer.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. Operations Working Student at Gradle Inc.

Supports cross-functional business operations by handling supplier questionnaires, registrations, internal records, and automating recurring processes with AI tools.

Junior Remote Posted 11 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who We Are

AI is changing how software gets built. Code production is becoming a commodity. The focus is shifting from writing code to specifying, orchestrating, verifying, and governing change, and the toolchain is the new constraint.

We are at the center of this shift. We build Develocity, a toolchain observability and intelligence platform used by some of the world’s leading software organizations: Netflix, Airbnb, Spotify, SAP, major global banks, and hundreds more. Develocity helps software teams achieve delivery excellence through deep observability, build and test acceleration, and AI-powered intelligence across the entire toolchain, with support for Gradle Build Tool, Apache Maven, sbt, npm, Python, and Bazel.

We are an AI-native company. AI is not a feature we are bolting on, it is central to how we work, how we think about our product, and where we are heading. Develocity encodes a decade of build and test expertise into a context engineering layer: the ground truth AI agents need to change code safely, and the governance to attribute and gate that change at machine speed. Trust, evidence, and explainability are at the core of everything we build.

We have partnered with the Apache Software Foundation, the Commonhaus Foundation, the Micronaut Foundation, and other OSS projects such as Spring, Quarkus, Kotlin, JUnit, AndroidX, and many more to bring the values of Develocity also to the OSS Community.

Our Values

Seek to Understand: Everything starts with listening and understanding, and we strive to understand different viewpoints, problems, and motivations.

Know the Why: We approach our work with a clear sense of purpose, ensuring every step is deliberate and focused.

Innovate & Iterate: We embrace challenges and are not afraid to try new things, even if they might fail.

Own the Outcome: We are empowered to take initiative and we maintain transparency in our work and its outcomes.

Who You Are

You are studying for a master’s degree and want to see how a remote-first technology company really runs day to day. You like variety: one day might be a customer’s supplier questionnaire, the next a recurring task you’re automating with Claude. You enjoy working out how a process works and then making it better.

You work independently and in a structured way, and you’re comfortable asking questions and working with Security, Legal and Finance to get something done. You care about the details, because supplier registrations and internal records need to be right. You’re curious about AI and automation tools, and you want to use them on real work instead of just reading about them.

If you meet most of the qualifications below and the role interests you, apply. Curiosity and a willingness to learn matter more to us than a perfect match.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a working student to support our Operations and Financial Management department. The focus of this role is supporting the supplier registrations requested by our customers and helping us build and improve AI-supported workflows across the department. Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Supporting the registration of Develocity as a supplier in our customers’ procurement portals, including completing recurring questionnaires and gathering supporting evidence, in coordination with the Security, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • Learning our supplier registration process in depth, helping to implement improvements, and keeping the guides and training material up to date.
  • Building, testing, and improving AI-supported workflows with Claude, as well as with common automation tools, to reduce recurring manual work.
  • Helping to introduce new software tools, including writing short guides and answering questions from the teams.
  • Assisting our Business Administration team with recurring administrative tasks and keeping our internal records and systems up to date.
  • Supporting our Finance teams from time to time.
  • Taking on other tasks across the department as they come up, which lets you get to know several areas over time.

Minimum qualifications

  • Enrolment in a master’s program, for example in business administration, business informatics, financial controlling, or a comparable field.
  • Basic understanding of business administration, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Flexibility and an open mind, as the role combines very different tasks from several teams.
  • An interest in improving current systems and processes, and you enjoy working with automation and AI tools such as Claude Code.
  • An independent, focused, and structured way of working, along with a collaborative mindset and good communication skills.
  • German at C2 or native level, English at B2 level or higher.

What We Offer

  • An immediate start, with weekly hours agreed individually around your studies.
  • A dynamic working environment in a Silicon Valley company with flat hierarchies and plenty of room for initiative and development.
  • Work at an international, fast-moving technology leader.
  • Onboarding and guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • In-person meetings, such as regular department and company meetings.
  • Work from home in a remote-first environment.
  • A diverse and inclusive environment in which we learn from one another. We welcome people with different backgrounds, experiences, skills and perspectives.

Location

  • Remote from anywhere in Germany.
  • Our headquarters is in San Francisco, and our teams work remotely across locations, which allows for a high degree of flexibility, collaboration and creativity. The Operations and Financial Management department is led from the SaarbrĂĽcken area in Germany and is responsible for the entire group.
  • While we work remotely, with everything in place for seamless collaboration by email, chat and video call, we deeply value in-person time and meet regularly as a department and as a company.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Chargeback Operations Intern who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

As a Chargeback Operations Intern, you will be responsible for analyzing and responding to card and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. Working closely with our fraud/risk team and our customer disputes team, you will navigate issues on a case by case basis to determine the best course of action to help our customers get unstuck. Analysts will also make recommendations to our management on how to improve and scale our processes.

We are looking for a teammate who can work full-time Monday through Friday between 9:00 am - 5:30 pm - Central Time. This will be a paid internship.

What You'll Do:

  • Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and take suitable action to resolve those disputes within the allowed timeframes.
  • Work cross functionally with relevant departments (fraud, disputes) to determine next steps on a case to case basis.
  • Investigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns or trends.
  • Understand our systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.
  • Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve our loss prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.
  • Learn and maintain strong domain knowledge of the world of fraud including prevention techniques and technologies.
  • Maintain or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs) for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize potential losses.
  • Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

What We Look For:

  • Experience in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong business judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training

About You:

  • You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.
  • You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things
  • You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.
  • You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.
  • You have backbone; disagree, then commit - you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly.
  • You deliver results - you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle.

What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:

At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire.

Compensation: The salary for the Chargeback Operations Intern is $800 USD monthly as an independent contractor.

Operations Operations Associate, Fool Community Foundation at The Motley Fool

Supports daily team operations by coordinating paperwork, maintaining systems and documentation, cleaning data, troubleshooting users, and assisting with events and logistics.

What this role involves

Who are we?

The Fool Community Foundation was founded by The Motley Fool to expand wealth-building opportunities for the two-thirds of Americans living paycheck to paycheck. We believe that with the right tools, community, and support, everyone can make progress toward financial freedom- whether it’s saving, investing, or taking steps to build generational wealth.

What does this team do?

The Fool Community Foundation is a small, mission-driven team working to expand access to financial freedom. As a lean organization, strong operations are essential to everything we do- from supporting our team and contractors to maintaining the systems and processes that keep our work organized and moving forward.

Our Operations team creates the structure behind the scenes that allows the broader Foundation team to focus on its mission. That means building reliable processes, maintaining clean and useful systems, coordinating important team activities, and making sure the details don’t fall through the cracks.

What would you do in this role?

As our Operations Associate, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to help execute the day-to-day processes that keep the Foundation running smoothly.

This is an execution-focused role. You won’t be responsible for setting our overall operations strategy; instead, you’ll help bring that strategy to life by making sure the processes, systems, and recurring workstreams designed by the Operations Manager happen accurately and on time.

You’ll work across both team operations and systems administration, so your days may look different from one another. One day you might be coordinating contractor paperwork and organizing documents, while another might involve cleaning up data in HubSpot, helping troubleshoot a user issue, or supporting logistics for a team event.

If you’re highly organized, naturally attentive to details, comfortable learning new systems, and get satisfaction from making things run well, this could be a great fit.

What will you be responsible for?

Team Operations

  • Coordinate contractor paperwork and help ensure required documentation is completed and organized.
  • Support team culture initiatives, including team meetups, appreciation events, and happiness-score surveys.
  • Help maintain organized virtual files, documentation, and shared resources so information is easy to find and up to date.
  • Assist with FoolFest and other events, including scheduling, logistics, communications, and coordination.
  • Help manage recurring operational tasks and calendars, making sure important deadlines and follow-ups don’t get missed.
  • Support the Operations Manager with administrative and coordination needs across the Foundation.
  • Document processes and keep operational materials current as workflows evolve.
  • Look for small ways to improve efficiency, organization, and consistency in the team’s day-to-day work.

Systems & HubSpot Support

  • Support day-to-day HubSpot administration, including data entry, record maintenance, data cleanliness, and routine integrity checks.
  • Help maintain accurate and reliable information within our CRM.
  • Assist with building and maintaining reports and dashboards that help the team understand its work and progress.
  • Troubleshoot basic user issues and help connect team members with the right support when something requires deeper technical expertise.
  • Help coordinate basic system training, documentation, and resources for team members.
  • Support adoption of consistent processes and best practices across the tools the Foundation uses.
  • Become a go-to resource for routine questions about our operational systems and workflows.

Who are we looking for?

You don’t need to have done this exact job before, but you should enjoy being the person who creates order, follows through on the details, and helps a team operate more effectively.

You’ll likely be successful in this role if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in an operations, administrative, project coordination, or similar role.
  • Have hands-on experience with HubSpot. You know the ins and outs of the platform and can work independently within the tool.
  • Are comfortable working across multiple tools and systems, such as CRM platforms, project management tools, scheduling tools, and shared document systems.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and tend to notice the small things before they become bigger problems.
  • Are highly organized and comfortable managing several recurring workstreams and deadlines at the same time.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in writing, especially when creating documentation, meeting notes, process updates, or status communications.
  • Are proactive and process-oriented. You don’t just complete a task- you think about what needs to happen next and how to make the process run smoothly.
  • Are dependable and consistent, particularly when it comes to recurring operational responsibilities.
  • Are comfortable asking questions, learning new systems, and figuring things out when you encounter something unfamiliar.
  • Enjoy supporting others and making it easier for teammates to do their best work.
  • Are excited by the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization and a small, collaborative team.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience working in a nonprofit, foundation, or other mission-driven organization.
  • Hold a HubSpot certification.
  • Have experience coordinating contractors, team events, or internal operations.
  • Have created reports, dashboards, process documentation, or system training materials in a previous role.

This is a part-time contractor role with an expected commitment of up to 30 hours per month.

Hourly Pay Range

$45—$45 USD
