About Holepunch
At Holepunch, we’re building a peer-to-peer platform for apps that don’t need servers at all. Users connect directly, which means they keep full control of their data and their conversations stay private by design. We believe the internet should be peer-to-peer by default, and Keet, our P2P video call and chat app, is how we’re showing the world what that looks like.
Keet runs on Pear Runtime and our open-source stack (Hypercore, Hyperswarm, Hyperdrive), which handles everything from peer discovery and NAT traversal to data replication and end-to-end encryption.
About the job
The Keet engine team works on the core that makes Keet tick: connecting peers, replicating data, syncing rooms, and keeping calls and file transfers fast and reliable across every kind of network. We’re looking for an organized, curious Junior Project Manager to help keep that work moving.
You’ll work closely with a globally distributed team of senior engineers, help turn priorities into clear plans, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between releases. This is a great role for someone early in their career who wants to grow into technical project or product management in a deeply technical, open-source environment.
Responsibilities
Track engine work across sprints and releases, keeping issues, milestones, and roadmaps current
Run or support stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across time zones (mostly async)
Coordinate between the engine team, Keet app/UI developers, and QA so dependencies are visible early
Write clear status updates, release notes, and meeting summaries
Help triage bug reports and user feedback, and route them to the right engineers
Spot risks and blockers early and help the team resolve them
Keep internal documentation and processes tidy and easy to follow
Mandatory:
1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role (internships and open-source involvement count)
Excellent written English communication; you can explain technical progress clearly and concisely
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly
Experience with issue trackers and project tools (e.g. GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira, Linear)
Self-starter who thrives in a fully remote, async-first team
Preferred:
Basic understanding of networking or distributed systems concepts (P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, replication)
Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git, and release processes
Some exposure to JavaScript/Node.js or experience working alongside a dev team
Interest in privacy, decentralization, or open-source software
Agile/Scrum knowledge or a certification (PSM, CAPM, etc.)
Experience working across many time zones

This role is a good opportunity for students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals who enjoy working with people, organizing tasks, and taking responsibility.
You will help keep the team organized, communicate project updates, and make sure tasks are completed on time. No previous team leadership or project management experience is required — we value a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. We are looking for an Intern, Technical Program Manager in the AI Business Unit to join our “Agentic Solutions” - Packaged Genies and Marketplace team. This is a one-year internship with intent to hire, and a rare opportunity to own a high-visibility project from day one and directly shape how the team defines, plans, and delivers agentic use cases. You won’t just be analyzing requirements; you’ll uncover patterns in how functional work moves through our system, run the agile cadence that gets it delivered, and turn what you learn into solutions the Technical Owner and Functional Lead will act on.
In this role, you will also be responsible to:
You will own the operating rhythm that keeps Packaged Genies’ delivery predictable and visible:
Agile Cadence Ownership: Run the day-to-day agile cadence across all workstreams; sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives — not just observing them, but running them.
Jira Story Preparation: Based on direction from the Technical Owner, decompose requirements into well-structured Jira epics and stories with clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, and dependencies, so the team has sufficient clarity to execute.
Milestone & Deliverable Tracking: Set and track milestones for the requirement-to-delivery pipeline (requirement → breakdown → task → done), flagging slippage early and keeping the Technical Owner informed with concise, accurate status updates.
Stakeholder Alignment: Align stakeholders across workstreams; Product Owner, Technical Lead, Functional Lead, and engineering; on scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
Program Documentation: Document your approach, decisions, and findings in Confluence so the program’s knowledge stays accessible and current.
Alongside program management, you will do the structured groundwork that helps leadership make informed delivery and process decisions:
Requirements Gathering: Partner with workstream leads across Packaged Genies to gather functional requirements and turn them into structured, usable specs.
Pattern Analysis: Classify and categorize functional requirements and use cases to surface patterns; recurring integration types, common breakdown gaps, sizing errors and build a process to keep this current.
Delivery Benchmarking: Quantify the trends and benchmarks that answer the delivery questions leadership is asking, for example, where requirements stall, how often “done” gets disputed, and how task sizing holds up in practice.
Root-Cause Analysis: Identify and document the underlying drivers behind unclear requirements or poorly sized tasks, supported by evidence from Jira and requirement-tracking data.
Solution Proposals: Propose solutions, including AI-driven and automation-based approaches that leverage Workato’s own agentic platform where appropriate, and define how their success will be measured. This is an analytical input role; final process and prioritization decisions are owned by the Technical Owner and Functional Lead.
Program Health Tracker: Design and build a live tracker that surfaces both functional health (requirement quality, breakdown gaps) and program health (velocity, WIP, confidence flags) — something that keeps generating insight beyond the initial analysis.
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or an MBA with a technical undergraduate background or hands-on IT/technology experience
Strong interest in data, functional/business analysis, program management, and Agile methodologies, this role blends all of them equally, not just one.
Working knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques, and a comfort level in handling large, varied datasets.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools is a plus.
Basic familiarity with APIs, integrations, or enterprise systems (CRM, HRMS, ITSM) is a plus, enough to engage credibly with engineers on dependencies and scope.
Interest in Agentic AI, emerging AI tools, and their practical application to real business problems.
Proactive and comfortable working through ambiguity, with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
Strong communicator, able to translate complex findings and functional requirements into clear, actionable specs and program updates.
Thinks analytically and grounds recommendations in evidence rather than assumptions.
Takes ownership of their work, both the analysis and the program’s delivery outcomes and is genuinely curious about the reasoning behind the data.
How Packaged Genies and Agentic Apps evolve through the full product lifecycle from requirements and design to implementation, certification, Marketplace listing, and continuous enhancement.
How to run a multi-workstream Agile program end to end; planning, tracking, stakeholder alignment, and delivery accountability.
How to turn raw delivery data from Jira and requirement tracking into metrics and benchmarks that leadership acts on.
How agent orchestration brings together Skills, knowledge bases, and actions across systems to create intelligent, end-to-end workflows.
How to apply AI and automation, including Workato’s own platform to improve internal processes, and how to measure the impact.
The dynamics of building products within a growing ecosystem that serves both direct customers and partners.
Location: Hyderabad, India
Duration: One-year internship with intent to hire
Work Model: Hybrid — minimum 2 days in-office per week, aligned with Workato’s global hybrid work policy.
