Associate Consultant conducts strategic market research and analysis for global clients, translating business questions into evidence-based recommendations through primary research and data synthesis.
Please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Why Euromonitor Custom Research
We answer the commercial questions that the world’s leading companies cannot resolve from published data alone. Euromonitor Custom Research has delivered more than 10,000 projects, drawing on over 50 years of global data, industry specialist teams and analysts on the ground in 100 countries. Few consultancies can match that depth of local insight.
The questions we answer are as varied as our clients. A brand might want to know where its next phase of growth will come from, a retailer how its shoppers are shifting to online channels, or an exporter which markets to target first. Others need robust evidence to substantiate a “No.1” claim. More than 5,700 organisations trust Euromonitor.
This is what sets the role apart: it combines the problem-solving and client skills of a strategy consultant with the analytical depth of a research organisation.
About The Role
You’ll work on strategic questions for some of the world’s best-known companies, mostly across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. The work is varied: one month you might be sizing an emerging category for a global food business, the next helping a beauty brand shape its consumer strategy for a new market. In each case, you will be involved from kick-off to the final recommendation, typically working on several projects in parallel and often to tight client deadlines.
What you’ll do
You’ll own the work end to end, from building the evidence to advising on what it means. You’ll draw on our research network, data teams and tools along the way, but the quality and accuracy of the final answer are yours.
Define the problem. Translate each brief into key questions, hypotheses and a clear workplan, then make sound research decisions as the evidence develops, flagging early when findings point to further questions the client should consider.
Build evidence beyond what is publicly available. Lead conversations with senior industry figures to uncover insights that desk research cannot, and build robust market sizes, forecasts and scenarios by triangulating Passport data, primary research and other sources.
Turn evidence into advice. Synthesise complex, imperfect findings into a rigorously tested point of view, going beyond the “what” to the “so what” and “now what”, in reports and presentations that senior executives find clear, memorable and actionable.
Build trusted client relationships. Work closely with client teams, from insight managers to strategy directors, presenting findings and facilitating workshops with clarity and composure, and spotting further needs that could lead to follow-on work.
Collaborate across Euromonitor. Plan workstreams and guide the analysts on your projects to keep timelines and quality on track, collaborating with colleagues across offices, in-country researchers and Euromonitor’s industry specialists.
We care most about how you think, how you work with clients and how you turn evidence into recommendations. Sector knowledge and research techniques can be learned.
Analytical rigour. You break complex questions into their parts, form hypotheses and find creative routes to a robust answer when data is incomplete. You build and validate models in Excel and use AI tools with sound judgement about their outputs.
Influence and communication. You build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders and influence decisions without relying on authority. You write and present with a clear line of argument, have strong PowerPoint skills and stay composed under challenge.
Curiosity and ownership. You have a genuine interest in how markets, companies and consumers work. You take responsibility beyond your remit, move work forward in ambiguous situations and bring colleagues with you.
Experience and education. Around 2 to 4 years’ experience for Associate Consultant or 5+ years for Consultant in consulting, market research or a related analytical or commercial role. You can point to analysis or recommendations that have shaped client decisions, and you have guided the work of analysts. A strong academic record, ideally in business, economics or a quantitative subject.

Experience with survey design, web scraping, social listening, Power BI, Python or R.

Provides client insights and analysis in French as a maternity-cover consultant at Cision.
Analyze crypto market trends, on-chain and venue data, trader behavior, and opportunities to guide Pyth’s product and business strategy.
Douro Labs is the core development team behind the Pyth Network. We’re looking for a Market Analyst to track the crypto markets, specifically prediction markets and perpetual futures, and turn that understanding into business opportunities for Pyth.
This role is for an analyst who can read the market and explain why it matters to us: someone who can pull on-chain and venue data to quantify a new trend one hour and write the report that convinces the team to act on it the next. You will serve as our eyes on two of the fastest-moving areas in crypto, covering the market side (monitoring events, trader conversations, volumes, and new venues across prediction markets and perps) and the product side (translating that research into a clear picture of our users and concrete opportunities for Pyth).
Location: Remote (US or Europe)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Technical Operations
About Our Team and Your Role
We are a well-rounded team: half of us are tech whizzes, while the other half excel in building partnerships with institutional clients, prime brokers, and the global financial infrastructure community. Curiosity and rigor are key to how we operate.
Remote Work: Our team is spread across the globe, from the US and South America to Europe and Asia. We are a digital-first organization where remote work is the norm.
Startup-level Speed: We thrive in the dynamic DeFi space and need an analyst who can go from question to answer quickly, without waiting for direction.
The Mission: You will be shaping how Pyth grows in prediction markets and perpetual futures. As these markets expand and new venues launch, your research will inform where we build next and how we serve the teams building on our data.
About the Role
This is a hybrid research/strategy role. At the outset, you’ll monitor prediction markets and perps day to day and connect what’s happening to our business. Over time, your research is expected to directly shape product decisions and new opportunities across Pyth.
We want research that leads to action: every piece of work should end with a clear view on what it means for Pyth and what we should do about it.
Responsibilities
Market Monitoring
Track news, launches, and structural shifts across prediction markets and perpetual futures
Monitor the conversations where traders are active, including X, Discord servers, Telegram groups, and other trader communities, to spot sentiment shifts and emerging trends early
Follow volumes, open interest, funding rates, and market share across major venues
Connect recent events to their impact on Pyth and share timely takeaways with the team
Maintain a current view of the competitive landscape, including oracles and data providers serving these markets
User Research
Research prediction market and perps protocols to understand how they use price data
Map who our users are, what they need, and where current solutions fall short
Build dashboards and datasets the team can use to follow these markets
Product Opportunities
Turn research findings into concrete product ideas for Pyth
Size opportunities using market and on-chain data
Work with product, engineering, and BD to prioritize and pressure-test ideas
Track how launched initiatives perform against the original thesis
Research and Reporting
Write clear, convincing research reports for internal and external audiences
Present findings and recommendations to leadership
Build a repeatable research process the team can rely on
About You
Background as an analyst at a crypto research firm or in a research/data role at a perps exchange or prediction market
Deep understanding of prediction market and perpetual futures market structure
Active in trader communities and comfortable picking up signal from X, Discord, and Telegram
Proficient with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Dune or similar)
Strong writer with a track record of research that drives decisions
Analytical and a self-starter, comfortable owning a research agenda independently
Comfortable with startup pace and evolving scope
Think you’ve got what it takes to build the most talented team in the world? We’d love to meet you.
