Program Lead, Strategic CDN Accounts GTM

Available Locations

  • Austin, US
  • New York, US
  • San Francisco, US

About the Role

Cloudflare is looking for a Program Lead, Strategic CDN Accounts to help shape and execute account strategies for high-priority customers in the content delivery and application performance market. This person will partner with account teams and leaders across Cloudflare to identify growth opportunities, coordinate executive engagement, and turn strategic account plans into measurable action.

The Strategic CDN Accounts function brings together customer insight, market intelligence, product expertise, and cross-functional execution to deepen Cloudflare’s relationships with priority customers. The team helps account teams understand customer priorities, build differentiated points of view, align the right internal resources, and create momentum across complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in strategic account planning, go-to-market strategy, business operations, revenue operations, consulting, or strategic programs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys ambiguous, high-impact work; can move from insight to execution; and is comfortable aligning senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic account plans: Partner with account teams and CDN leadership to develop and maintain clear, actionable plans for priority accounts. Map customer priorities, business initiatives, technical environments, stakeholders, decision processes, competitive dynamics, whitespace, risks, and next steps.
  • Identify and prioritize account opportunities: Use customer, industry, product, usage, and market intelligence to identify expansion opportunities and areas where Cloudflare can create differentiated value. Help teams prioritize accounts, buying centers, use cases, and actions based on potential impact and likelihood of progress.
  • Orchestrate account execution: Create the operating rhythm for strategic accounts, including account reviews, action plans, executive alignment, stakeholder mapping, opportunity tracking, decision logs, and follow-through. Keep account teams focused on the few actions most likely to advance the customer relationship or opportunity.
  • Develop customer-specific points of view: Translate customer business priorities and market developments into relevant Cloudflare narratives. Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and technical teams to develop account-specific messaging, proof points, discovery guidance, executive conversation plans, and engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate executive and cross-functional engagement: Act as connective tissue across account teams and internal stakeholders. Align the right leaders and subject-matter experts around customer priorities, meeting objectives, sequencing, ownership, dependencies, and follow-up.
  • Bring competitive and market insight to account strategy: Synthesize customer feedback, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and incumbent-technology insights into practical recommendations. Help account teams anticipate objections, sharpen differentiation, and identify opportunities to change the customer’s view of its current approach.
  • Build repeatable strategic-account programs: Identify patterns across priority accounts and turn successful approaches into repeatable plays, planning tools, enablement, and operating mechanisms. Establish feedback loops and metrics to understand what is working and where the account motion should evolve.
  • Communicate with clarity: Prepare concise account reviews, leadership readouts, decision documents, executive briefings, stakeholder updates, and action trackers that make complex account situations easy to understand and act on.

Examples of Projects This Person May Own

  • Build a multi-quarter strategic account plan for a priority CDN customer, including stakeholder mapping, whitespace analysis, customer priorities, competitive context, and an action plan.
  • Establish a planning and review rhythm for a portfolio of strategic accounts, with clear owners, milestones, decisions, risks, and measures of progress.
  • Partner with account teams to develop a customer-specific point of view and executive engagement plan around modernization, performance, reliability, security, or infrastructure priorities.
  • Coordinate a cross-functional account strategy spanning Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate customer and competitive research into differentiated messaging, discovery questions, objection handling, proof points, and meeting preparation.
  • Identify common patterns across priority accounts and create a repeatable account-based growth play or field enablement package.
  • Prepare leadership for strategic customer meetings by clarifying objectives, stakeholder dynamics, value hypotheses, risks, and required follow-through.
  • Track account-level progress and convert field feedback into recommendations for product, marketing, enablement, and GTM leadership.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

At Cloudflare, we know that great candidates come from diverse backgrounds with non-linear paths. You don’t need to tick every box to be right for this role. If you are excited about building a better Internet and ready to make an impact, please apply.

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic account planning, GTM strategy, business operations, revenue operations, strategic programs, consulting, product strategy, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Experience developing and executing account plans for complex enterprise customers or strategic opportunities.
  • Experience turning customer, market, or competitive insight into commercial strategy and field execution.
  • Experience driving complex initiatives across Sales, Product, Marketing, Enablement, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to simplify ambiguous account situations into a practical plan.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create customer-specific narratives, executive readouts, account plans, operating plans, and field guidance.
  • Strong program management skills, including ownership of timelines, workstreams, dependencies, risks, decisions, metrics, and follow-through.
  • Business acumen and comfort using data to prioritize accounts, stakeholders, opportunities, investments, and tradeoffs.
  • Experience with enterprise technology, networking, content delivery, application performance, cloud infrastructure, or related categories is helpful.
  • Familiarity with account-based GTM, strategic selling, executive engagement, competitive analysis, or market segmentation is helpful.
  • High ownership and a strong bias for action. You should be comfortable pushing work forward without perfect information and aligning teams without direct authority.
  • Curiosity about how Internet infrastructure is built, bought, operated, and modernized.

What Success Looks Like

  • Priority accounts have clear, current, evidence-based plans with defined customer outcomes, stakeholders, opportunities, actions, owners, and next steps.
  • Account teams are aligned on where to focus, who to engage, what Cloudflare can uniquely offer, and how to advance each priority opportunity.
  • Strategic customer meetings and executive engagements are well prepared, purposeful, and followed by clear action.
  • Customer, market, and competitive insight reaches the teams making account, product, investment, and GTM decisions.
  • Cross-functional partners understand their role in each strategic account and follow through on commitments.
  • Common patterns across strategic accounts become repeatable plays, enablement, and operating rhythms.
  • Leadership has a trusted partner who can turn account-level insight and priorities into coordinated execution and measurable progress.

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $161,000 – $221,000.
  • NYC-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $153,000 – $210,000.

Available Locations: London or Lisbon

About the Department

Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) is where new and bold products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a hugely successful business, we are able to leverage them to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers. Cloudflare’s edge and network make it possible to solve problems at massive scale and efficiency which would be impossible for almost any other organization.

About the Team

We build the infrastructure that makes the web Payable, powering the future of machine-to-machine commerce.

Here at Cloudflare, agentic commerce is a core part of our vision for the Agentic Internet. As AI agents increasingly navigate, consume, and act on the web, standard payment and authorization models built for humans are breaking down. We are building tools that help make the new internet payable by giving our users the ability to take control over how AI agents pay for resources across the Internet.

Building these capabilities requires solving problems across high-throughput web infrastructure, low-latency transaction processing, digital wallets, and emerging agentic payment protocols. We bridge mainstream fiat commerce rails with decentralized protocols, enabling micro-payments at Internet scale. We’re looking for someone excited to deliver products so domain owners can control this experience, while identifying the problems Cloudflare is uniquely positioned to solve next.

We are a tight-knit group that communicates and collaborates regularly. We celebrate our achievements, support each other when we make mistakes, and hold each other and our work to a high standard.

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to build and lead the engineering team across Agentic Commerce.

You will be responsible for the people, execution, and engineering quality behind products that power machine-to-machine payments and monetization, such as our Monetization Gateway. You will partner closely with Product Management and engineering teams across Cloudflare to deliver current priorities and shape future opportunities. This is a management role for someone who is deeply technically credible. You will not be expected to write most of the code, but you should be able to understand the systems your engineers operate, challenge architectural decisions around payment rails and cryptographic auth, ask the right questions when something is going wrong, and step into a technical problem when the situation calls for it.

At the same time, we are looking for a manager, not a tech lead with direct reports. Your success will be measured by the quality and output of the team you build, the engineers you develop, and the systems and products they deliver.

This role may require flexibility to be on-call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed.

What you’ll do

  • Manage, coach, and grow engineers working across high-throughput payment pipelines, agent authentication, and web-scale commerce architecture.
  • Own execution by establishing clear priorities, creating predictable delivery, and giving engineers the context and autonomy to own meaningful areas of the product.
  • Lead the development of agentic payment systems leveraging emerging open standards (x402, Web Bot Auth, ACP, UCP) to enable low-latency, machine-to-machine micropayments.
  • Lead the engineering behind usage metering, pricing definition engines, outcome verification, and revenue attribution models tailored for agentic workflows.
  • Build capabilities that give businesses granular visibility and control over their agent-generated revenue streams.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to understand customer problems, shape the roadmap, and turn broad opportunities into clear engineering outcomes.
  • Bridge mainstream and decentralized tech, interfacing with blockchain teams while keeping execution focused on mainstream, high-throughput web and fiat commerce rails.
  • Balance near-term product delivery with thoughtful technical investments that allow promising ideas to grow.
  • Own the operational health of the systems in your area, including observability, incident response, cryptographic security, and long-term reliability.
  • Develop technical leaders and create space for engineers to lead architecture and implementation.

Responsibilities

We want you to love it here. This role is a great fit for you if:

  • You have led and developed a high-performing engineering team(s) and can point to what that team shipped and how the people on it grew.
  • You are technically credible with experienced engineers. You can review a design, understand the trade-offs in distributed systems or payment platforms, and recognize when a technical problem needs deeper investigation.
  • You are comfortable managing a team working across several related technical areas (like digital wallets, payment protocols, and web authorization) and can create clarity without requiring every problem to fit neatly into a single box.
  • You care deeply about reliability and quality, particularly when the output of a system handles monetary transactions or machine authorization.
  • You have strong product judgment and enjoy working with Product Management to decide what is worth building, what needs improvement and what should not be built at all.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and with finding structure in areas where the opportunity is clearer than the roadmap.
  • You communicate clearly, give direct feedback, and can explain complex technical decisions to both engineers and non-engineers.

Examples of Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Strong technical grounding in distributed systems, low-latency transaction processing, API design, web security, or adjacent areas.
  • Experience building or operating products involving traditional payment rails, digital wallets, or open authorization/authentication standards (e.g., OAuth, WebAuthn, Web Bot Auth).
  • Experience operating systems where correctness, reliability, and security matter as much as feature delivery.
  • A track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management to shape and execute a roadmap.
  • Experience taking products or major capabilities from an ambiguous opportunity to a clear customer outcome.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with emerging agentic/machine-to-machine payment protocols (x402, AP2, ACP, UCP).
  • Experience building hybrid fiat/crypto payment infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare’s developer platform (Workers, Durable Objects, KV) or edge computing architectures.
  • Experience turning complex underlying systems into useful payment or commerce products for a broad audience.
  • Experience with usage-based billing, metering engines, attribution systems, or complex commercial pricing models.
  • Previous experience working in payments and on payments technology

Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Lisbon based hires: Estimated annual salary of €74,000 - €93,000

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.

Engineer Software Architect at PayJunction

Designs payment systems, leads complex engineering initiatives, writes production Java, and guides other engineers from concept through deployment.

Lead Hybrid Posted 5 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

We read every application. No AI screening. A real person reviews your materials.

Job Summary

PayJunction is seeking a Software Architect to design and build the enterprise features and payment integrations our partners rely on to move billions of dollars a year, taking open-ended problems from a blank page to production while still writing Java yourself.

Why PayJunction?

PayJunction is relentless and emphatical about helping others.  We exist to drive the success of our partners.  Specifically, the developers who connect to us, businesses who process payments through us, and all of our team members who work with us at PayJunction.

We believe dreams inspire people to start a business, and others to partner with them.  While building dreams, entrepreneurs and business professionals will face many challenges along the way. We believe great partners can make all the difference.

We are your dream partner.

Your success is our success.

Our dream is to help you realize yours.

We exist to drive the success of our partners.  We do this by fundamentally changing the way you transact with others.  We just happen to make great payment systems.  If you love helping others succeed, in a culture that celebrates perfecting your craft, consider partnering with us.

Location

PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. We ensure that everyone has the resources and equipment to work where they feel most productive. We trust our teams to make the best decision for their work environment. All PayJunction employees must reside in one of the following states: CA, IL, TX, MN, CO, GA, NY, MA, CT.

Mission

Our Engineering team’s mission is to design, develop, and maintain the products, technology, and systems that drive our partners’ success.

Vision

Thousands of partners love and rely on our platform to make payments simple.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead open-ended initiatives from a blank page to production with Product and Engineering leadership, breaking the problem down, directing other engineers, and making the calls that keep the team moving.
  • Personally design the highest-risk systems end to end, writing design docs clear enough to build from, with requirements, trade-offs, and failure modes stated up front.
  • Stay hands-on: write production Java every sprint, review pull requests promptly, and hold work to a test strategy built for high-risk payment paths.
  • Mentor senior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing, growing the team’s design capability so not every decision runs through you.
  • Architect enterprise capabilities such as SSO, role-based access, audit trails, and multi-merchant hierarchy, plus versioned APIs partners can build on without breaking changes.
  • Keep the core platform processor-agnostic and our processor integrations performing optimally, from message mapping through reversals and settlement reconciliation.
  • Design for reliability and PCI from the start: define SLOs and monitoring, remove single points of failure, lead root-cause analysis, and shrink PCI scope by design.
  • Raise the team’s delivery velocity with AI-assisted development, setting review and security guardrails for AI-generated code.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering, with hands-on ownership of production systems.
  • 5+ years of architecture experience as an Architect, Staff, or Principal Engineer, owning designs that span multiple services or teams.
  • 5+ years of Java, including web frameworks and the JVM ecosystem, with production Java written in the last 12 months.
  • 5+ years mentoring senior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, and pairing; formal people management not required.
  • Production experience with AWS, Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), relational databases (MySQL preferred), CI/CD (Jenkins or comparable), infrastructure as code (Puppet or similar), and observability tooling (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable).
  • Designed and operated a high-availability transactional system where downtime or data loss had direct financial or customer impact.
  • Currently uses AI coding assistants or agents (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or comparable) in day-to-day production work.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent applied experience.
  • Preferred: payments or fintech experience such as card processing, gateways, or acquiring; experience designing within a PCI DSS-regulated environment.

Engineer Lead Solutions Architect - Generative AI (EMEA Emerging DNB) at Databricks

Designs and implements production GenAI architectures, proofs of concept, fine-tuned models, and LLM solutions for enterprise customers.

Lead Hybrid Posted 6 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

REQ ID: FEQ227R147

Location: Germany (Remote/Hybrid) - will require travel across Europe

Recruiter: Dina Hussain

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect focused on Generative AI to support our EMEA Emerging Digital Natives and Startups business unit — one of the fastest-moving, most technically ambitious patches in EMEA. Our customers are digital-native and cloud-native companies who build on the frontier: they adopt GenAI early, scale fast, and expect their technical partners to be as sharp as their own engineers.

You will be the go-to expert our Account Teams and customers turn to when a GenAI or LLM use case needs to move from an ambitious idea to a production-grade reality across our high-growth accounts.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing individual contributor role for someone who lives at the frontier of applied GenAI. You will shape architectures, prove out the hard problems, challenge and influence customer roadmaps, and raise the GenAI capability of the entire EMEA Emerging DNB field organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the deep technical authority on Generative AI, LLMs, and applied machine learning for the EMEA Emerging DNB business unit, supporting the most strategic and complex customer engagements across our digital-native and born-in-the-cloud accounts.
  • Partner with our EMEA Emerging DNB Solutions Architects, Solutions Engineers, and Account teams to scope, design, and de-risk GenAI use cases — from retrieval-augmented generation and agentic systems to fine-tuning and evaluation.
  • Build hands-on proofs of concept and reference implementations that operationalise large-scale LLM and deep learning workloads on Databricks (Mosaic AI, MLflow, Model Serving, Vector Search, Unity Catalog governance), tuned to the fast iteration cycles Emerging DNB customers expect.
  • Lead fine-tuning and model-customisation engagements on open LLMs (e.g., Llama-family models), including judge-based and label-efficient evaluation approaches for domains where quality and safety are paramount.
  • Act as a bridge to Product and Engineering — channel field and customer feedback into the roadmap and represent the roadmap back to the field.
  • Enable and mentor the broader EMEA Emerging DNB Field Engineering team through workshops, reference architectures, and internal enablement, multiplying GenAI expertise across our ~70-person SA/SE organisation.
  • Represent Databricks externally as a technical thought leader — conference talks (e.g., Data + AI Summit), blogs, and customer executive briefings.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of the LLM landscape, including leading proprietary and open-source models and providers, with the ability to differentiate their capabilities, trade-offs, and suitability for different use cases, and to articulate a clear, informed point of view (POV) to customers.
  • Deep expertise in the modern GenAI stack: LLM application patterns (RAG, agents, tool use), fine-tuning and model customization, prompt and evaluation engineering, and LLM guardrails/safety.
  • Strong foundations in machine learning and deep learning, including distributed training, GPU workloads, and the full MLOps lifecycle (tracking, registry, serving, monitoring).
  • Proficiency in Python and the ML ecosystem (PyTorch/Transformers, MLflow, Spark), and comfort building production-quality reference implementations.
  • Experience with the Databricks platform — or the ability to ramp on it quickly — including Mosaic AI, Model Serving, Vector Search, and Unity Catalog. Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills: able to earn the trust of both hands-on engineers and senior technical executives, and to explain complex GenAI trade-offs clearly.
  • A track record of technical leadership and mentorship — someone who elevates the people around them.
  • Comfort operating at the pace of digital-native and high-growth customers, where speed, iteration, and technical credibility win the deal.
  • Based in the United Kingdom and able to work across EMEA time zones, with willingness to travel to customer sites within the region as needed.
  • Background helping digital-native customers build data and ML solutions (e.g., prior experience at a data/ML platform or consulting vendor) is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

  • Public technical presence: conference speaking, published talks, blogs, or open-source contributions in the ML/GenAI space.
  • Domain depth in a regulated or high-stakes industry (healthcare/life sciences, financial services) where model quality, evaluation, and safety are critical.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap.

Why This Role

You will work on the hardest and most exciting GenAI problems our EMEA Emerging DNB customers have — companies building the future in real time — with the platform and the people to actually solve them, not just advise. You’ll shape how one of EMEA’s highest-growth business units adopts Generative AI, influence the direction of the product, and build a public profile as a recognised expert in the field. This is the role for a builder and a teacher, who wants their expertise to have outsized impact.
